Otávio Silveira is the CEO of Opy Health and a Managing Director at IG4 Operations Company. He is the former CEO of Iguá Saneamento (2014-2017) and Dreen Brasil Investimentos (2008-2014), a renewable energy company, in which he was involved since its foundation. In addition to the health, sanitation and energy sectors, Silveira worked in highway operations at Intervias between 2000 and 2004. He is also a member of the Environmental Analysis, Risk and Planning Committee at Iguá Saneamento. Silveira holds an MBA in Business Administration from Getúlio Vargas Foundation, an MBA in Economic Engineering from Dom Cabral Foundation, and a degree in Civil Engineering from the Federal University of Minas Gerais.
Rogério Bolzani Caldas is CFO at Opy Health and an executive at IG4 Operations Company. Throughout his career, Rogério has held executive roles in finance, strategy and business development at a range of companies, including multinational, family, publicly traded and private companies, and across a range of sectors including retail, media and telecommunications.
Previously, he served as CFO of Shoulder, a fashion retail company, held the positions of Controller, Strategy Manager and Advisor to the Board at Casas Pernambucanas, and was Senior Manager of Strategic Planning at Grupo Abril and Telefônica | VIVO.
Rogério has a degree in Electrical Engineering from Escola Politécnica da USP and a postgraduate degree in Business Administration from FGV.
Executive with over 16 years of experience in management and engineering, previously serving as Regional Director of SP at Iguá Saneamento, where he lead teams overseeing concession and PPP contracts in municipalities across the state of São Paulo.
He was Investment Manager at Dreen Brasil and General Construction Manager at Construtora OAS LTDA, where he participated in projects such as Ponte Estaiada Roberto Marinho, TRT-SP, TST-DF and the REVAP and RENEST refineries.
Thiago has an Executive MBA in Finance from Insper-SP, a postgraduate degree in Project Management (PMI) from FIA-SP and a degree in civil engineering from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie.
Alan Brener previously worked at Mendes Junior Eduções as a resident engineer and contract administrator, at Mendes Junior Trading e Engenharia as a contract administration engineer in the oil & gas and energy sectors, and at Integra Offshore. He was Operations Director for the expansion contracts for the Holcim cement plant in Barroso (MG) and for the industrial maintenance contract with Arcelor Mittal in Juiz de Fora (MG). He was a consultant at Brener Engenharia, working on structuring new businesses for foreign private equity firms interested in investing in Brazil.
He has a postgraduate degree in Advanced Project and Contract Management from Fundação Dom Cabral and in Heavy Construction Executive Development from Universidade Estácio de Sá. He holds a degree in Engineering from the Federal University of Minas Gerais.
Helcio Tokeshi is a Managing Director and Chief Economist, as well as a member of the Investment Committee of IG4 Capital Private Equity Fund II. Prior to joining IG4, he served as Secretary of Finance for the State of São Paulo (2016-2018). Prior to this, he was a Partner at GP Investments (2014-2016), where he focused on investments in the infrastructure space.
Before GP Investments, he was a Managing Director at EBP (Brazilian Project Structuring), a company dedicated to the design, structure and implementation of infrastructure projects in partnership with BNDES and the Brazilian government (2009-2013). Prior to EBP, Helcio worked at McKinsey, starting as an Associate and progressing to Associate Principal (1999-2004 & 2006-2008). Additionally, he also served as Secretary for Economic Monitoring at the Ministry of Finance (2004-2006) and worked as an Economist at the World Bank, based in Washington, D.C. (1997-1999).
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of São Paulo, a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Campinas (UNICAMP), and doctoral studies in Economics at the University of California, Berkeley..
Gustavo Buffara is Managing Director and CFO at IG4 Capital. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Iguá Saneamento and a member of the company's Sustainability Committee and Audit Committee. Prior to IG4, Gustavo was Senior Director and Managing Director at RK Partners, an advisory firm specializing in debt restructuring and operational turnarounds.
Prior to joining RK Partners, he was a Deputy Director at GP Investments, where he was responsible for infrastructure and telecommunications investments in Brazil (2012-2016). He was also part of the initial GP Investments team involved in the BR Towers transaction, responsible for structuring and executing the 100-day plan with C-level executives.
Previously, he was a Senior Consultant at Bain and Company in São Paulo, conducting strategy projects for multinationals across different industries/sectors including financial services, credit and debit cards, insurance, airlines and oil & gas. In this role, he led projects in Brazil, Chile and Africa (2010-2012). Prior to this, Gustavo was a Strategy, M&A and Regulatory Executive at Telefonica (2004-2010). He also served temporarily as a Competitive Intelligence Strategist, as part of the staff to the Global COO in Spain (2008–2009), covering the Latin American and UK/German markets.
Gustavo has an MBA from IMD in Switzerland and a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration from EAESP-Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV).
Paulo Mattos is Co-Founder, Managing Partner and CEO at IG4 Capital. Prior to founding IG4 Capital, Paulo was a Partner at RK Partners, a leading advisory firm specialized in debt restructuring and operational turnarounds, and a Managing Director at GP Investments, a leading alternative investments firm in Latin America.
At GP Investments, Paulo was the Head of Infrastructure and Telecommunications investments and served on the Investment Committee (2012-2016). He was the founder of BR Towers S.A., the first large independent Brazilian cellphone tower company, where he served as Chairman (2012 to 2014), which was subsequently sold to American Tower Corporation.
Before joining GP Investments, Paulo was an Executive Vice President of Business Strategy, Wholesale and Regulatory at Oi S.A (2009-2012), the largest telecommunications company in Brazil at that time. While at Oi he served on the Executive Committee, Financial Risk Committee and Operations Committee. Paulo also worked at the Brazilian Development Bank, BNDES, as a Superintendent-Director, in addition to being a member of the Credit & Investment Committee and Head of the Managerial Committee (2007-2009).
Currently, Paulo is the Chairman of Iguá Saneamento S.A. (2017-), one of the main private water and sanitation companies in Brazil, and Board Member of OPY Health S.A. (2019-), a healthcare company that provides infrastructure and logistics for hospitals and medical services operators, where IG4 Capital is the controlling shareholder.
Paulo is a venture capitalist through Capital Lab Ventures, a proprietary capital investment platform that he co-founded, focused on Telecommunications, Media and Technology – TMT.
Moreover, he is co-founder and Board Member at Instituto Iguá, a non-profit social organization focused on fostering new technologies and education for a sustainable access to water and sanitation. He is also member of the Fiscal Board of the Associação Universitária Interamericana – AUI, a non-profit educational group that operates schools in Brazil.
Paulo holds a J.D. and a Ph.D. in Law from University of São Paulo (USP), was Fulbright Visiting Scholar at Yale University and is Visiting Fellow at the King’s College London. He is permanent member of the Board of Directors of the Brazilian Center for Analysis and Planning – CEBRAP and former associate professor at the Getulio Vargas Foundation – FGV, leading think tanks in public policy and business administration.
Irineu Francisco Delfino Silva Massaia is an infectious disease physician and currently Vice-Director of the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Santa Casa de São Paulo (FCMSCSP). Prior to joining IG4, he served as Superintendent of the Brotherhood of Santa Casa de Misericórdia de São Paulo (ISCMSP), was Vice President of the Medical Residence Committee of ISCMSP, Director of the Hospital Infection Control Service of ISCMSP and Director of the Department of Medicine of ISCMSP. He also served as Statutory Director at EZVIDA Soluções em Saúde in projects with the National Confederation of Industry and SESI.
He graduated from the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Santa Casa de São Paulo (FCMSCSP), completed his medical residency in Clinical Medicine at the Brotherhood of Santa Casa de Misericórdia de São Paulo (ISCMSP) and a medical residency in Infectious Diseases at the University of São Paulo-FMUSP. He holds a doctorate in Infectious Disease Pathology from the University of São Paulo-FMUSP and an MBA in Health Management from the Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV-SP). He also serves as Adjunct Professor in the Department of Clinical Medicine in the fields of Propaedeutics and Infectology at FCMSCSP and is the editor of medical books.
